Setting up an Intercom integration is easy!
To do this you will first need to generate an Intercom Access Token to establish the connection with LaunchBrightly. You can find detailed instructions from Intercom's help article, as well as a summary below:
- Navigate to Your apps from within the Developer Hub in Intercom
-
Click to create a New app
-
Give the New app a name
-
Select Edit to set the Permissions for the Access Token.
Note: LaunchBrightly’s integration with Intercom is strictly limited to help articles only and we therefore only require the following two Permissions for read/write access to help articles
[V] Read and list articles List and view all articles [V] Read and write articles Read, update and create articles -
Copy and save the Access Token
Once you have copied the Intercom Access Token you can set up your Intercom integration from the Setting page in LaunchBrightly using that token:
-
Select Add integration
-
Select Intercom
- Paste the Access Token and add a Name for the integration
-
Finally, select to Test connection to make sure the details are correct.
And you're all set!
Note: All API keys are immediately encrypted and stored using AWS Key Management Service (KMS), which leverages hardened hardware security modules (HSMs) to protect and manage cryptographic keys.
